Learn the Basics of Memorizing

By Bill Powell

Are you ready to keep what you learn? You can learn the basics of memorization right here, with this free online series of articles.

Most of these articles are taken from my upcoming book, Keep What You Learn: A Quickstart Guide to Memorizing. A few are from my more advanced upcoming book, Memorize Mark: How to Learn a Whole Gospel by Heart. If you like what you read here, I hope you’ll enjoy these books when they come out.

Memorization is not some mystical secret for geniuses. Anyone can do it. But you do need to know the basics. In fact, if you’ve got five minutes, you can learn the two basic memory methods that may change the way you think about memorizing.

This series of articles is a short online “book.” Each article ends with a link to the next article. You can also navigate with the book navigation block in the sidebar.

Each article that begins a section also includes a listing of the headings in that section. This is the topmost article, so here’s the listing of main articles in this book. They’re pretty short, and best read in order.
